Saxoncourt established operations in Mainland China in 2000 and, upon obtaining an operating licence from the Board of Education, was able to open the first Shane English School in Shanghai in February 2001.

Saxoncourt has a majority shareholding in Saxoncourt China, which operates the SES Shanghai centre as a Direct Teaching Establishment (DTE). We now have over 30 framchise schools spread across Shanghai and a number of other key provinces, even as far west as Yunnan. The Shane reputation for quality has made it a leading forces in this huge EFL market.
